Congratulations to Arya Sajadian and Baylee Bruce on receiving competitive research awards! Arya received the Linda and Rick Maxson Undergraduate Research Award for 2026–2027. His project will characterize within-species variation in antifungal tolerance and resistance in the opportunistic yeast pathogen C. glabrata. Baylee received the Graduate College’s Ballard and Seashore Dissertation Fellowship. Her research opens a new area of study on the evolution of pioneer factor activity among orthologous transcription factors in yeast. Well done, Arya and Baylee!
